How-To Take The Risk Of Transition
Following Jesus and saying yes to His transitions in life, is one of the best and most thrilling adventures we can take up here on earth.
Life with Jesus is filled with the biggest blessings, unexpected miracles, beautiful healing and answered bold prayers.
But it is also a risk.
We risk our comfort, our love, our hearts and even our lives.
We risk laying down our own choices at times, so we can have a different and better result in the end.
We risk the Lord asking us to make a choice that is not our first choice!
We risk the discomfort of going against what we think is “normal human process” of the culture.
How do we jump into transition knowing these risks?
Over the month of August, I am going to share with you seven reasons, based on biblical truth and my own journey, why we can be confident to take that leap into a new season of transition.
Alright, let’s dive into reasons two, three and four today.

2. We take the risk because we serve a God of mercy and He does not let one thing go to waste.
“But You, O Lord, are a God full of compassion, and gracious, longsuffering and abundant in mercy and truth.” - Psalm 86:15
3. We take the risk because even if we don’t have the perfect answer or solution, we know God will use it for His good.
“So we are convinced that every detail of our lives is continually woven together to fit into God’s perfect plan of bringing good into our lives, for we are his lovers who have been called to fulfill his designed purpose.” - Romans 8:28
4. We take the risk because we know that the Lord WILL refine us through HIS refining fire.
“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.” - Isaiah 43:2

(By Shawn Bolz, Breakthrough: Prophecies, Prayers & Declarations)
God, help me to not just endure transition but to consider it an honor, because I know the result it produces. Help me to consider it a privilege when You ask me to make a move, transition, change in my life, even when it creates strain, adaptive energy loss, and natural tension in me. Give me the endurance to persevere. Give me persevering faith.
Thank you that when transition starts, I get to go into a deeper place in my knowing You, from glory to glory. Help me to see You in the midst of all the change. Give me faith for what I will be moving into, as I sometimes have to give up so much while I am moving out of something to attain it.
Thank You that part of You being the God who breaks through is that my transition is for something huge! You have my best interests in Your heart, and You will use this transition to position me, align my life, create deeper perseverance and character in me, and reveal even more of Your love to me. Thank You that understanding You in the midst of transition will help me to love those around me more.
God, as You bring transition in my life, help me to hold onto everything that can go with me into the new season. Also, help me to let go of anything that is not for this new time.
Help me to love the change Your transition brings and to not compare it to other transitions You didn’t initiate in my life. Help me to be one who is so willing to change that I become one who can help change and reform systems, structures, and the lives of those around me with the grace Jesus carried when He was on earth.
