How To Eat Chocolate (and Chick-fil-A!) Without Feeling Guilty!

“Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is Freedom.” 2 Corinthians 3:17

When God created us, He gave us the freedom of choice, free will. He could have easily designed us to be controlled by Him, forced to love and follow His commands, but He wanted to give us the freedom to choose how we live.

Health and freedom are two of the best gifts God gave us. Let’s choose to steward our health in a way that honors Him. I believe God made everything permissible to us, but not everything is beneficial for us.

“Everything is permissible for me”- But not everything is beneficial. “Everything is permissible for me” – but not everything is constructive.” 1 Corinthians 10:23

Our bodies were created to need food for energy, but unfortunately, many of us have been taught to see food as destructive. The word “diet” has become a dangerous word for many of us. Too many women equate extreme limitation to healthy eating.

However, no food should be off limits! I believe there is no such thing as good foods and bad foods.

The truth is that some foods are not as beneficial as other foods as far as nourishing our bodies in the way we wish to meet healthy goals.

We need to realize that mental and physical health is all about balance which comes from eating the best we can and making the best daily decisions the majority of the time.

So, relax girlfriend, even if we make a few “non beneficial” or “non constructive” choices (Hello, Chickfila, donuts, and chocolate!), as long as the majority of our decisions are beneficial, we will still get results.

Make goals. Know that food is fuel. Know that food is fun. And let’s throw away any limited mindset we have on food and replace the restriction mindset with an action that aligns with your goal.
